Nothing new…

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. Haven’t really had anything to post. Here’s a few photos I’ve played with over the last few months. They’re nothing I’m super proud… just some that have given me a little something to do.
I’m hoping to acquire a new camera soon. I’ve been debating whether I should get the Canon 7D or 60D. I’ve shot with the 7D and like it a lot. What I don’t like is the fixed screen.  That’s where I like the 60 with it’s articulating screen. What’s pushing me more to the 7D is the 8fps bursts  vs. the 5.3fps bursts of the 60D. I’m all about getting the image and sometimes you gotta be really fast to get it. The 7D has more focus points (19) vs. the 60D with 9. The other feature that pushes me towards the 7D is the processor (dual digic 4) vs. the 60D’s single digic 4. I like the SD card feature of the 60D over the CF of the 7D.

July 4th in Indian Trail

Today was the annual Indian Trail Independence Day Parade.  It’s a fun event with lots of candy being tossed our way by those participating in the parade. The best part for me, is seeing these guys from VF Post 2423 at the head of the parade and hearing the crowd erupt in applause and whistles. It’s POWERFUL!

As they approached I struggled with do I clap and holler with everyone else, or do I capture the moment, which means I can’t clap, but I can still holler, and I did. I watched as these men marched by knowing that I could never be the kind of men they are. And because I recognize this, I respect and honor them very much. May God bless them, and may God bless (and have mercy) on America.

new photo sites

For a while I’ve been kicking around the idea of trying to sell some of my photos. I have no idea if they’re worth anything but I guess I’ll never know if I don’t try. That’s what risk is and I guess I’ll take a small one.

I’ve joined for the 14 day free trial (hoovdaddy) and I joined (hoovdaddy) for their 14 day free trial. I really like the way 500px is laid out but there’s not may options at all for selling.  I still have flickr  (hoovdaddy) and will continue to post.
